I’ve always believed that the ideas and beliefs that our societies are built upon should reflect the needs, values, and realities of the people they serve. It is painfully evident today that drastic inequities persist, systems stagnate, and that the very foundation of our society is overdue to be restructured.

This modern reimagining is my way of answering: What would we demand of our leaders, systems, and ourselves if we were to rewrite the document which governs us all?

I’m sharing this not as a solution, but as a spark of inspiration and debate. This is a libing and breathing work that I hope will be edited and added, not matter what stage it is in, I hope it encourages all of us to think about how we can create a more just, inclusive, and forward-thinking future with all people in mind.

How could we benefit if the fundamentals that govern us were updated to reflect the 250 years we’ve advanced as a country and society?
