Article VII
Climate Rights
Section 1: Right to Climate Advocacy and Funding Allocation
Every citizen of the United States has the right to advocate for and participate in the allocation of public funding to causes that address climate health at the local, state, and national levels. Citizens can engage with local and national advocates and representatives to prioritize funding for climate solutions, including renewable energy, conservation efforts, pollution reduction, sustainable agriculture, and protection of natural resources. The right to allocate such funding ensures that citizens have a direct voice in shaping policies that promote environmental sustainability and protect future generations.
Section 2: Climate Health Protection and Enforcement
Any individual, corporation, or entity that violates climate health, through actions such as environmental degradation, pollution, or other harmful practices, shall be held accountable. Citizens, through their advocates and representatives, have the authority to demand that penalties be imposed on violators. These penalties shall be determined based on the severity of the violations and the impact on the greater public good, with the aim of ensuring that those who harm the environment are held responsible for their actions.
Section 3: Citizens' Role in Climate Health Accountability
Citizens shall have the right to participate in local and national advocacy efforts aimed at ensuring climate health accountability. This includes the right to vote on measures that hold individuals or entities accountable for actions that damage the environment and public health. Citizens, through their local advocates, will be empowered to propose and support legal actions and policies that promote environmental justice and accountability for climate-related violations.
Section 4: Protection of the Greater Good
In cases where the violation of climate health threatens the greater good of society, citizens and their advocates shall have the right to take legal action to prevent such harm. This includes pursuing measures to reduce carbon emissions, protect ecosystems, and mitigate the effects of climate change. When an individual or entity’s actions significantly endanger public health or the environment, citizens have the right to hold them accountable and demand restitution or corrective actions.
Section 5: Congressional and Legal Oversight
Congress shall have the power to pass appropriate legislation that enforces climate rights, including the allocation of public funding to climate-related causes and the implementation of penalties for violations of climate health. Legal frameworks shall be established to ensure transparency in climate-related decision-making, funding allocation, and the enforcement of accountability measures for climate health violations.
