Article IX
Local Advocates
Section 1: Establishment of Local Advocates
In every geographical area encompassing a 10 to 20-mile radius or a population of 100,000 people, local advocates shall be established to represent the concerns and interests of the community. These advocates shall serve as liaisons between the people and local, state, and national governments and assist citizens in drafting bills for votes ensuring that the voices of residents are heard and addressed; giving the populace a direct line in creating laws and referendums.
Section 2: Responsibilities and Functions
Local advocates shall be responsible for gathering and voicing concerns, grievances, and requests from the community. They will act as a point of contact for local issues, offering solutions, feedback, and suggestions to the appropriate governmental bodies. Advocates will also work to ensure that local policies and decisions reflect the needs and desires of the people they represent and help citizens create Constitutional and statute amendment reforms to be voted on by their peer masses with a Direct Initiative petition needing 1/100 of the population to appear on the next ballot with no lawmakers required for it to go into effect if passed; rights like this are essential to the democratic process.
Section 3: Public Access and Accountability
Local advocates must ensure transparency and accessibility to all residents within their designated areas. They are required to hold regular meetings, maintain open channels of communication, and provide annual reports detailing actions taken and issues addressed. Community members will have direct access to their local advocate to voice concerns and engage in active dialogue.
